CONTROLLING CRITICAL SITUATIONS

Dealing with difficult situations, interpersonal conflict and failed promises

How to establish the middle ground

We face potential confrontations everywhere, for example when a person hasn’t done what they promised or what was expected of them. Many of us shirk from this confrontation. We either run away or become threatening.

The first group learns how fear makes us unable to talk about difficult issues face to face. This fear of upsetting, feeling awkward, uncomfortable or embarrassed turns minor issues into major problems that destroy relationships and lose business.

The second group goes on the attack. We practise enforcing our ideas, cutting people off, overstating our arguments and resorting to insults.

By finding the middle ground we control the confrontation.

This two-day workshop shows you how.

When working with companies that have specific issues around conflict, we will work with you to build the most effective case studies in which we can explore the issues your people face.
